Tanzania Postal Rates has Increased from March 2014
Posted: 30 Mar, 2014The Tanzania Postal Cooperation has increase prices for both mailing services and shipping services effective from, March. 18th, these services includes Inland Mails Services, International Air Parcels, Inland Parcels Posts, Supplementary Services, Postal Insurance Services, International Air Mails, Private Letter Boxes and Bag Annual Rental Fees
The price to mail a single-piece, up to 20 gms letter (International Air Mail) will cost up to Tshs 1,800/- cents, up from Tshs 900/-an increase of nearly 100% percent. These hike ranges from 50 -100% depends on range of rates.
The post office has struggled for years with declining mail volume as a result of growing Internet use and other means of transportation.
